The Supreme Public Prosecutor, Zagorka Dolovac, held a working meeting today, on 5^th December 2025, with the President of Eurojust, Mr. Michael Schmid, regarding the intensive cooperation between the Supreme Public Prosecution Office of the Republic of Serbia and Eurojust, as the leading institution for operational criminal cooperation between public prosecution offices and courts of the European Union.

The President of Eurojust, Michael Schmid, particularly praised the previous cooperation between the Supreme Public Prosecution Office and Eurojust, based on a long-standing relationship of mutual trust, as well as the signing of cooperation agreements with six countries of Central and South America for the purpose of more effectively combating organized crime and drug trafficking, as part of the European Union's joint plan to combat this extremely socially dangerous form of crime.

As a conclusion to the meeting, the Supreme Public Prosecutor and the President of Eurojust adopted a common position that it is necessary to carefully monitor initiatives to change the position, organization and working methods of public prosecutor' offices in Serbia, which could make further operational cooperation between institutions more difficult, and to further undertake all efforts to improve the current cooperation to the level that exists between the member states of the European Union.
